Our Estate Cabernet Franc, Burning Desire, is one of our most beloved wines. Crafted exclusively from organically-farmed grapes grown on our Glacial Gravels vineyard on the pristine north shore of Lake Chelan, this wine will ignite your senses with rich notes of ripe cherry, smoky spice, and earthy seduction.
Native fermentation highlights the pure expression of our Lake Chelan estate terroir. Aged 24 months in 38% new French oak barrels. Eight barrels were hand-selected from twelve for their depth, balance, and seductive character.

The story behind the burning bed label : In the late 1930s, miners rowed across Lake Chelan to the brothel at Point Lovely’s Edgemont Lodge. When their wives got wind of the escapades, they stole the rowboat, rowed over to Point Lovely and set the brothel on fire. Luckily no one was hurt but the only thing surviving the fire were the alll the old irons beds that were in the place, one of which is displayed wantonly on the wall in the Lake Chelan tasting room. An act of revenge now forever immortalized on our Burning Desire label.
